Yamaha YGX Guitars

Like the YG the real mystery about these guitars is why they exist at all. They seem to be rebranded RGS models, which in turn are very like Pacificas, there are four models all made in Taiwan. They are yet another Yamaha Strat clone Seemingly made for the Asian market only appearing in the Japanese catalogues. Not particularly high spec, probably at the lower end of the Pacifica range.
All are 648mm scale and 350mm radius.

The YGX121P

The main differences between this and the 121D are a pickguard and according to the archives a coil tap. I have not been able to verify the coil tap but considering the archives gives the wrong number of frets for this guitar you can't always assume it's accurate.

YGX121FP

This model features the Free Art Pickguard also found on the RGX and I think available at times on Pacificas. It is a clear plastic pickguard covering the whole body and a choice of 4 designs to go under the guard.
