In 1996 Yamaha produced a special edition a 175 reissue, styled as the 175B. The B is for Buddha reflecting the logo on
Carloss Santana's original SG175. In the archives it says 50 were made for Domestic Distribution only. I have seen a translation
from the Japanese which indicates the plan was to make 50 but such were the orders that a further 27 were made of which two were given
to Carlos Santana this may be true. This is a 24 fret guitar still 628mms scale
