The Yamaha SC first series

The Yamaha Supercombinator first series

An SC1200 in Natural Blonde although the Archives translates as Natural Yellow take your pick.

The Supercombinator is so called because of the 13 combinations that can be achieved from the pickups and their individual switches here is a pictorial representation.

Frankly that is a bit confusing to me so here is the simple version.
The switches are one for each pickup, (which I will call B, M & N. The B switch switches the Bridge pickup, the M pickup switches the Middle pickup etc. The important thing to note is that both the B and the M switches are 3-way whereas the N switch is only 2-way. The reason for this is that both the B & M switches are configured - Down = pickup on, Middle = pickup off and Up = Pickup on but out of phase. There is no need for the N switch to have an out of phase option because the other two already have it.

Description
The 700, 800, 1000 and 1200 are all Strat shaped guitars with a medium sized headstock released in December 1977 and in production until 1980. All models in this range can have either SC or Supercombinator on the headstock. All are 25.5" scale and 13.75" radius.
Note
As far as I can find the 700 only appears in Japanese catalogues suggesting it was a domestic only model.

Headstocks
The headstock style varies see the picture of the 1000 above for details. The domestic ones appear to be styled differently to the export guitars
As with many early Yamahas my watching of Ebay auctions has not revealed many of these for sale there are some in the guitar information and prices section but not many.
Update March 2018
An SC1200 in very good condition with original hard case has just sold on Ebay for £550.
