These two guitars were launched as new models in the Autumn 1997 Frontline although they may have been available
slightly earlier.
This guitar boasted what Fender called the Fender Powerhouse ultra quiet pickup system and 12 db active mid boost circuit.

There were some colour changes during the powerhouse's lifetime:
In 2002 Arctic White was dropped and Pewter and Graffiti Yellow were added
In 2004 Lake Placid Blue was dropped.
In 2005 the colours changed to Black, Chrome Red, Blizzard Pearl, Navy Blue Metallic or Caramel Metallic.
The guitar was discontinued in 2008 when the first of the Roadhouse Deluxe series came on the scene.
The distinguishing Features of this guitar are the Super fat super strat single coil pickups, the Burns style switching and
the Gold Hardware.
