This page continues from my Extrad and Custom page here Extrad and Custom
It will make more sense if you read that page first
The phrase custom Edition was used in the 1992 Twang and Models in this range were featured until 1994
there were quite a few of them.
So starting with the Telecasters we have:
1992 TLG110-LS A 3 pickup model
1993 TLG-110LS again, TL52-200BB, TL62B-77
1994 TL62B-77
1995 TLG-70P TLG-94P TLG80-70
An unusual Telecaster having no vintage aspirations at all said to be another Anniversary model but if so it
doesn't have the commemorative neckplate that others do

Flame Maple Oval Neck
1 piece maple fretboard 21 Frets 184mm radius
3 USA made Lace sensor pickups Blue Silver and Red
Gold Hardware
! volume 1 tbx 5 way switch with a 9 volt powered buffer amp
Standard American Tele Bridge

Came with a soft case and priced at ¥110,000
This is a very expensive Telecaster which despite its high price came with a gig bag not a hard case. The BB
stands for the B Bender fitted to it

Not to be confused with the Extrad TL62B (see earlier) This is a relatively ordinary 60s Telecaster Custom.
Features
Basswood body
Maple Neck Oval
Rosewood Board 21 Frets 184mm radius
MIJ Vintage Tele pickups
1 Volume 1 Tone 3 way switch
Bridge 6 section Gold

Colours FAM (Flame Amber I think) FMR (Flame Metallic Red) or FCH (not sure Flame Cherry maybe)
This is Fender Japan's take on the CBS era Black Gold Tele. It dips in to the CE range at one point it was launched as part of the Boxer series and features on my Boxer Teles page.
There is much mystery and some misinformation about these. Everywhere you find this guitar on the web it calls it
a 50th Anniversary model it isn't every description seems to come from the same source. Someone has assumed that
because it had the 50th Anniversary sticker on it it is a 50th Anniversary model. Everything that came out of the factory
that year had that sticker. My TL52 has it.
The same descriptions refer to The Edge using this model on U2 tours and it sometimes being called the Vegas Tele I
can go along with that.
The mystery is are these really two different guitars and if so what is the difference between them. The 94 does not appear in
any catalogues but certainly exists if neck and pocket stamps are to be believed. However I have found one guitar stamped TLG-94P
and the warranty card (same serial number) says TLG-70P.
What we do know is that this is a gold hardware blingy guitar that would not be everyone's taste.
The features below are from the catalogue for TLG-70P but everything I can find suggests the 94P is the same
Body is Basswood with Mother of Pearl binding
Maple Oval neck with matching headstock
Rosewood Board 21 Frets 184mm radius
Japanese Vintage Tele Pickups
1 Volume 1 Tone 3 way switch
6 section brass bridge
Colours Black with Dark Perloid Pickguard or Snow White with light perloid guard
¥70000 maybe the 94 is ¥94,000
Models
1992 Just the Extrad order ST54 model mentioned no details
1993 ST68-120SPL, STR-92LS, ST54-75RV, ST62G-65
1994 ST67-95, ST57G-65 and ST62G-65 all added

I am going to talk about these models but once again you can get full specs on Antonio's site here:
Fuzzfaced
This is a 68 style strat reasonably period correct made in Vintage white only, and again for a reasonably expensive
guitar came with a gig bag only. Relatively rare strat with some occasional variations as it is a custom Edition model.
There is in fact a left handed one on the web but strangely not with the custom edition stamp. Usually the model does have
the stamp.
Some Features
Alder Body with an oval shape maple neck
Maple cap board with 21 Frets and a 184mm radius
3 USA made vintage style single coils
1 Volume 1 Tone 3 way switch
F stamp tuners
Bridge Steel block vintage trem 6 pivot
Vintage white only ¥120,000
Bit of strange one this. It appears to be no more than a variation of the various Lace sensor STRs in the
pro feel series. The only one I can find anywhere on the web does not have the Custom Edition stamp so it
isn't absolutely clear that it is one. The guitar has non vintage radius and 22 frets.
Another STR LS model appears later but is a different guitar
From the catalogue features are
Basswood body with a flame finish
Maple oval neck
Neck Rosewood 250mm radius 22 frets
Pickups are 2 silver lace sensors and 1 blue Lace Sensor USA made
1 Volume 1 Tone 1 mid burst 5 way switch and a 9 volt active circuit
American Standard 2 pivot trem bridge
Priced at ¥92,000 it came with a gig bag
Colours Flame Red Burst or Flame Blue Burst
RV Real vintage it certainly is. It is except for the 5 way a good representation of a 54 strat for ¥75,000. Looks a bargain
compared to some in the Custom Edition range.
Correct single round string tree and Nitro finish. You do see quite a few of these around suggesting they were quite popular.
Features
Body Lightweight Ash with thin Nitro Finish
Maple Neck with Hard V profile
Maple 1 piece board with 21 frets and a 184mm radius
3 vintage style USA made pickups
1 Volume 1 Tone 5 way switch Die cast Vintage style block
Vintage 6 point Vibrato bridge
2 Tone Sunburst or Vintage Natural
Custom Edition logo on Headstock reverse
¥75,000
A fairly ordinary ST62 except for the gold hardware and some funky colours. Not an awful lot to be said
Features
An American Basswood Body
Maple Oval shaped neck
Rosewood Board 21 Frets 184mm radius
MIJ Vintage style pickups
Diecast Block Vintage trem Bridge
¥65,000
Charcoal Green, Charcoal Red and a Blue called Charcoal Marine
No Custom Edition Stamp
This guitar is covered in my other 60s strats section of this website. It does not have the Custom Edition Stamp.
This guitar is covered on my ST57 pages. Again no Custom Edition Stamp
See my ST62 page no CE stamp
See my ST54 page no CE stamp
ST57 page
Not as you might think a price increase on the 92LS but a different model but still looks like it
belongs in the pro feel range. Rare again only one I can find is from an advert and I can only assume the seller knows what he has.
Doesn't appear to have the Custom Edition Stamp. Has the deluxe style neckplate.
Features from Catalogue
Lightweight Ash
Maple said to be STR Type
Neck Rosewood 250mm radius 22 frets
Pickups are 2 silver lace sensors and 1 blue Lace Sensor USA made
