These guitars were launched in the 2000 western catalogues and the Japanese catalogues both models are made in Taiwan and differ only in the scale length. Otherwise the specs are the same.

The controls are slightly unusual the toggle switch bypasses all controls to direct out on the Bridge Humbucker both coils
The 5 way positions are:
1 Neck Full HB
2 Neck Humbucker with both coils connected in parallel
3 Both humbuckers both coils normal
4 1 coil of the neck HB with 1 coil of the bridge HB
5 Bridge full HB

The RGX421D 421M and 421 Pro

This is the 421 Pro with the distinctive 12th fret design which is on some higher models

These three guitars were made from 1994 to 1999 all made in Taiwan. The D and the M appear in Japanese and Western catalogues of the time but I can find no official records of the 421 Pro but it certainly exists and there is some detail to be had in various places. Whilst the D and M are the same model except for the board they do come in different colours.

Both have matching headstocks the pro has a single string tree which is not standard it is an aftermarket addition the other a bar which has been removed from the one in this picture you can see the holes.
