No 300s appear in the Archives, but there are several models. There is a 312 model and 5 or 6 321 models all made in Taiwan or Indonesia. It appears in Western catalogues but not in any Japanese ones that I have access to maybe just an export model.
This model was launched in 1987 and was produced until 1993

These three guitars were made from 1991 to 1994 really only 2 models the FP is just a P with a transparent pickguard which allows you to customise the look of the guitar by putting artwork under the pickguard. For more detail see RGX home page

The more observant of you will notice that the only real difference between the 2 models is a pickguard, the pickups may be different but I doubt it.
Made in Indonesia from 2004 to 2007 featuring the 3 a side headstock this model features in the Western catalogues but I have no
Japanese ones for the period so can't say if it was for sale in Japan.

These guitars are not featured in any catalogues I have access to nor in the archives and information on the web is sparse.
A while back a man called Rod Francis published information on every Yamaha guitar he could find. I was helping
him with a new version in 2017 but he didn't complete it. The information I have on these guitars is from him thanks Rod.
