A little history
The original short scale Jazz Guitar was produced by Burns from 1962 to 1965. It was designed as an "affordable" guitar
but still with high quality fitments and finish. It retailed at £73 compared to the Jazz Split Sound at £100.
It was a very popular model and sold well.
The Modern Offering
Around 2018 Burns London Re-launched the SSJ as 3 models:
The 6 String
The 12 String
The Bass/Baritone
As at March 2021 some retailers still have some of these and I believe many were supplied after the new owners took over.
Presumably they were being manufactured in China at the time.
