700j Models

These are Session 11 models only released in 1987 at 68,000 yen production ended in 1988. There are two guitars the 703j and the 712j differing only in the pickup combinations SSS and SSH respectively. There is very little information available on these and good pictures aren't easy to find. I don't know for certain what the j means but all the j models I have come across appear to be released only as Session 11s so I am inclined ot believe it means Japan domestic issue only.

The details I can gather from the little information available is that they have Yamaha Select EMG pickups a vintage style trem. and gold hardware. They both have 1 volume and 1 tone and the SSH has a coil tap. The necks look like Rosewood on Maple no clue as to the body wood. I assume that these are made in Japan but I don't know that.
